There are places in the world where the very ground is soaked with wrongness. Birds and animals can sense it … even the plants dislike living there. We tend to build motorway roundabouts on them, as no one wants to live there, but we don’t ask why no one wants to live there. We have forgotten our more basic instincts, the ones that scream at us to run away. We dismiss them as irrational fears, rather than accepting them as intuition.
